FAQs
Q: |
What is a homeschool co-op? |
A: |
A homeschool co-op (short for cooperative) is a group of homeschooling families who come together to share resources, teach classes, and support each other. Parents volunteer to teach classes in their areas of expertise or interest. For example, one parent might teach a science class while another teaches art. Co-ops allow homeschooled students to take classes that benefit from group settings, like lab sciences, group projects, or performing arts. Kids get to interact regularly with peers, which can help build social skills and friendships. |
